1 Million Dollar Buy In Event at the 43rd WSOP

People had talked.  Players had mused.  Now it is happening.  A Million Dollar Poker Tournament.  WOW.

The cool thing about it, is that is going to benefit ONE DROP - A Montreal charity created by Cirque du Soleil founder, Guy Laliberte that fights poverty worldwide by creating better access to water and raising awareness to water related issues.

So far there are 15 commitments to this tournament and it will max out at 48 players.  Some of the players that have committed (besides Guy Laliberte of course) are; Bobby Baldwin, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Tony G, Tom Dwan, Johnny Chan and storied businessman Andy Beal (whose clashes with big money pros have been documented in a book that I will review in a later post).

The tournament will start July 1, 2012 at the 43rd WSOP in Las Vegas.

The full and amazing story is reported at WSOP.com and can be read at the link below.

That would only buy us into the 100 000 satellite. We would need 10 000 people to enter a $100 sit and go. If we have enough interest, we can do it at my house.
