NBC National Heads Up Champion - Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel is in the middle of one of the hottest streaks in recent poker history.  He just took first place in the NBC Heads Up Poker Championship, taking in the 1st place prize pool of $750 000.  This brings his year to date tournament winnings to $4 340 000 after raking in $3.59 million in January and February.  When asked what he is doing differently this year with his poker game, if anything he replied;
“Well, the only thing I’m really doing different is I hired a poker coach in early January. But then he lost his job on the TV show ‘Two and a Half Men,’ so now I don’t know what I am going to do.”

Seidel is now ranked number 1 on the all time tournament money leaders list with a total of $14.7 million.  Second is Daniel Negreanu with $13.95 million and Phil Ivey is in third with $13.86 million.

Chris Moneymaker, the WSOP champion from 2003 came in second to Seidel in the NBC tournament, with 2010 WSOP champion Johnathan Duhamel and last minute replacement Andrew Robl tying for 3rd.

On a side note, 4 of us had a pool for the results where we blindly picked our top choices and then ranked the other players.  The only player picked by 3 players was Seidel, so Big Stack, Kramp and I get to split Nat X's $$$.  So delicious.  The 3 way chop is almost better than a flat out win, because now we all have bragging rights over X.

We should each get $5 (its almost ridiculous) and we should cut high card for the last $5.

For those that weren't aware, we had a pool for this tournament and in a weird twist, 3 of us end up winning out of 4.
