Heartland Poker Tour - Shooting Star Casino

Today marks the first day of the Heartland Poker Tour's stop at The Shooting Star Casino.

If you are not familiar with the Heartland Poker Tour, the main events are normally $1000 with a lot of feeder and smaller events leading up to it.  The Heartland Poker Tour has arrangements for TV coverage of the final table of the Main Event for all of its stops.  Most of this coverage is not available in Canada without Dish Network as far as I can tell, but it has strong local support.

The Heartland Poker Tour has a lengthy schedule planned for the rest of the year, if you are interested in a trip, you can check out the upcoming events by accessing the link below.

Yeah the events seem to be well run for the most part. Back in the days of fta dishnetwork I watched a lot of them. A couple Manitobans have played pretty well in them.

The vegas stop (Bobby has bowling shoes from where they play it) gets a good field, Scotty Nguyen and some others played in it.

I'd bet the cash games around these stops are pretty good too. One of these days we should take a jaunt down and play in something like this.

Its something I'd like to do. Lots of interesting stops that we wouldn't otherwise consider.
