This was a memorable tournament. Phil Hellmuth was looking for his 12th WSOP bracelet and came one spot away from getting it. Those in the money were a who's who in the poker world. Nick Shulman, Greg Raymer, Bertrand Grospellier, Johnny Chan and Brandon Cantu were all in the top 14 spots, but it was John Juanda that took the bracelet after getting heads up with Phil Hellmuth with a 3:1 chip deficit.
