The biggest prize ever won at the WSOP was in 2006 when Jamie Gold won the Main Event and took home $12 000 000 for the win.

And lastly, I'll leave you with a picture of Johnny Moss, reported by many to be the best poker player that has ever lived. He won the first WSOP when it was a series of cash games in 1970. After the last game, the players were asked to vote for the best player and of course each player voted for themselves. They were then asked to vote for the 2nd best player and Johnny Moss won the title of World Champion of Poker.
